Desert Bloom Family Medicine

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Desert Bloom Family Medicine. The fast courteous response of the staff at check in, to the timeliness and professionalism with my provider and her medical assistant was an overall pleasant experience. I was well cared for and felt the warmth from all parties involved in my visit!

UPDATE: STOP TRYING TO MAKE ME REMOVE MY REVIEW, THE 2 OFFICES ARE CONNECTED IT DOES NOT MATTER WHICH SIDE HE IS ON! Review: Dont waste your time, the front desk ladies are all different staff from the great ones back in 2020, the new desk ladies act like they dont want to serve you, they will make you stand in line and eyeball you till you say “uhm excuse me? can you help me now?” even if youre in front of them they will not acknowledge you and will continue talking on their cells/eachother or eating food….they just blow off your questions about seeing a doctor if you dont have the insurance they accept??! Been seeing DrGregory K. for 20+ with different generations of my family, it’s unfortunate that they do not accept Mercycare Plan anymore and will have to find another GP somewhere else….

By far the worst service in the medical field. There is always a huge confusion when calling both offices, no one wants to ever help you.i spent 1hr on the phone and resolved nothing, because one office can't contact the other office even though they are both owned by the same doctor. This is pathetic how I they can't get there stuff together and make it and easier experience for the patient. I will not be going here any more Chirtowski get your shiiiit together and your staff together.

I was with Desert Bloom Family Medicine for 14 years. All was well until recently…when I kept requesting from Dr. Kennedy’s staff get a prior authorization from Aetna for a particular medication. I asked Every. Single. Month since November, but I couldn’t get them to fax the authorization to Express Scripts. I would give them the code Month. After. Month. BUT they still couldn’t be bothered, and I would have to pay over $100 every month for a medication Aetna covered. I left over 60 voice messages, over the course of six months, for his staff to get the prior authorization. Flash forward to May 2023, his medical assistant said I was hostile. Why because I pointed out her failures and incompetence? Yes, Dr. Kennedy’s staff is incompetent. I’ve paid close to $900 for a medication I should have been able to pay $0.00. I went to have a word with the office manager about this particular problem and called me hostile, and then she went on about how Desert Bloom doesn’t accept faxes from pharmacies, nor do they return faxes to pharmacies. Sorry, but Express Scripts isn’t just a pharmacy-they process prior authorizations for medications for a number of insurance companies-and Desert Bloom doesn’t return faxes for prior authorizations for medications. Huh? Then she kept banging on about how her daughter couldn’t get her Adderall for two months. Sorry, but that sounds like a personal problem to me. I’m not concerned about an office manager, I don’t even know, whose daughter couldn’t get her Adderall for months on end. I also can’t be bothered to listen to an office manager who has no clue about private insurance, or what Express Scripts really does, to tell me a practice doesn’t accept faxes from pharmacies. Interesting, because Walgreens faxed Desert Bloom just the day before I confronted the office manager, and Desert Bloom returned a fax to Walgreens authorizing a refill. It’s unfortunate the office manager needs to be trained, retrained or fired if she’s going to lie and behave as unprofessionally as she has and does. The front office staff said Desert Bloom receives about a thousand faxes a day, and it’s impossible to go through all of them. Ok, maybe it’s time to hire someone to do just that. Just a heads up, don’t ever ask for proof of a fax having been sent anywhere…because everyone immediately becomes defensive…even though by law it’s to be kept in the medical file. Yes. It. Is. I also can’t be bothered to continue to see a doctor who has been censured and put on probation in the past. Yes, that information is readily available, and I’m also considering filing a complaint with the Arizona Medical Board. A doctor needs to take responsibility for the incompetence of his staff, the same staff who often send prescriptions to Walgreens in my name…but the medication doesn’t belong to me. Does an inhaler and a diabetes medication ring a bell? Doctors also need to take responsibility for ignorant office managers. I’m a grown up, and I’m allowed to point out the failures in my healthcare. I’m also allowed and entitled to have my insurance company cover my treatment and medications, something the Desert Bloom Family Medicine office manager doesn’t feel I’m entitled to…because her daughter can’t get her Adderall. Sorry but not sorry, that sounds like a personal family problem to me. I have since moved on to a much better doctor with competent office staff. It only took 24 hours for the prior authorizations for my medications, and my medications were filled the next day. What’s even better is it only cost me $38 for three different medications. Thanks, but no thanks. Dr. Kennedy, his staff and the Desert Bloom Family Medicine office manager, who knows nothing about insurance, prior authorizations, or much of anything else all did me a favor last month. I am in charge of my healthcare, not Dr. Kennedy’s medical assistant or the office manager. Good riddance to incompetent healthcare. Stay away from this practice if you value your health, mental health and bank account. And NO! I won’t remove this review.
